Meet Allison A. Larrea

Allison A. Larrea is a theatre artist, educator, and director who has been working both onstage and behind the scenes in theatres across the DFW metroplex for over 10 years. She began her performing arts journey through dance, training in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, Latin ballroom, and musical theatre, an early foundation that continues to inform her collaborative and movement-centered approach to theatre-making.

Allison holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual and Performing Arts, following her graduation, she made her DFW theatre debut in the North Texas regional premiere of Something Rotten! in March 2022, directed by Patty Granville. She went on to perform in multiple productions throughout the area, building a strong appreciation for storytelling from the actor’s perspective.

In 2023, Allison transitioned away from performing full-time to focus on production and leadership roles. Since then, she has worked on over 20 productions in choreography, stage management, lighting design, sound design. She has served as an assistant director on several productions and will make her directorial debut in April 2026.

​

Allison also holds a Master of Education in Special Education, a credential that deeply shapes her artistic philosophy. She is passionate about accessibility, inclusive rehearsal practices, and creating theatre spaces where young artists feel supported, celebrated, and empowered. Her long-term goal is to open a children’s theatre that prioritizes creativity, education, and inclusive storytelling for performers of all abilities.
